Web Content and Anxiety in Today’s Society
Web content available in today’s world is highly developed and has a broad and practical application. Its influence extends across various aspects of life, from business and personal matters to hobbies, making it nearly impossible to identify an area where web content does not affect us, our behaviour, and our quality of life. With this in mind, we are exposed to various types of content daily, sometimes absorbing it almost unconsciously, without being fully aware of the risks that come with such exposure. Above all, we encounter a vast amount of unverified content that can mislead or even endanger us. Furthermore, the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence undoubtedly contributes to faster and more efficient problem-solving. However, in recent times, we have also witnessed how it can become a challenge for the future. Anxiety related to technological development is entirely understandable, and it is crucial to critically evaluate the content we consume. The aim of this paper is to present key concepts that may be linked to anxiety in browsing web content and to discuss the possibilities of adopting a critical approach toward it.
