Unified Student Smart Card System (USSCS)

Student Id cards are often required in schools and colleges, yet they are lacking with the practical features that encourages student to consistently wear them. To resolve this issue we developed an RFID-based multipurpose ID card system that integrates multiple campus-services such as payment, library management, and secure access into single platform. It also contains a secure online-portal, from which student can manage their card balance, view transaction history and access a built-in credit system linked to their caution deposit. This system has a built-in RFID, which utilizes electromagnetic waves to enable contactless communication between RFID cards and readers across campus. In addition of multi-factor authentication mechanism like One-Time Password (OTP), enhanced security is accomplished through anti-spoofing algorithms that guarantee the transaction integrity. The system scalability and efficiency are prioritized in both its RFID Card and Online portal, indicating its capability of managing extensive college procedure. The outcome of the project demonstrates a significant improvement in both operational efficiency and student convenience in campus. This also reduced the transaction times, enhanced security, and streamlined campus activities such as payments in canteen and library book management. This paper explores the design and implementation of this system, on how electromagnetic waves power RFID functionality.
