REACTION OF DIFFERENT POTATO VARIETIES TO PRODUCTIVITY AND QUALITY, DEPENDING ON THE USE OF BIOLOGICAL PRODUCTS
The development of a scientifically based assessment of the suitability of various soil and climatic zones for successful potato cultivation is a criterion for increasing crop productivity. The agroecological method of solving this problem is quite reasonable, since soil fertility, temperature, precipitation, together with the potential of different potato varieties, interact in the soil-habitat (weather conditions) - cultivated plants system. Ways and methods of increasing potato productivity, both commercial products and for obtaining highly productive and high-quality seeds, have been widely and in detail studied. It is known that the level of production of this crop and yield depend on agricultural techniques. Currently, it is advisable to use biological preparations that are inexpensive but highly effective in modern agriculture. The choice of high-quality tubers and the use of innovative technologies for plant protection and nutrition makes it possible to maximize the genetic potential of the variety, and this guarantees high yields with maximum profitability. It is important to maintain the planting schemes that are most acceptable for the foothill zone, the doses of biologics used to protect plants from diseases and stressful situations, as well as the effectiveness of these drugs. Therefore, the purpose of our research was to study the effect of the drug and micro–fertilizers in potato plantings, increase yields and improve the quality of potato tubers. The results of the study showed that the effect of biological preparations and their doses on leaves during the growing season had a positive effect on the growth, development, yield and quality of Vladikavkaz potatoes. Potato yields in the experimental variants ranged from 29 to 34.6 t/ha, 26.6 in the control, or 30.5% more. The high quality index of tubers, dry matter – 25.1%, starch – 14.9%, vitamin C – 13 mg%, provided the option of complex application of Nutrivant Plus 1.5 kg/ha + Bigus, BP – 0.2 l/ha spraying of plants in the budding – flowering phase. The doses of the preparations and the phases of spraying the plants were determined.
