FERTILITY OF SHEEP DEPENDING ON VARIOUS FACTORS

In this article, the fertility indicators of Soviet Merino queens were studied depending on body weight, age, and the selection of parental pairs by type of birth. In the course of research, it was found that the fertility of queens is directly related to their live weight before insemination. The fertility of queens with an average live weight of 50.1 kg was higher than that of their counterparts with a live weight of 43.5 and 45.4 kg, by 9.4 and 3.2%, respectively. One of the important tasks of increasing fertility is to increase the live weight of yars, which can be achieved by targeted cultivation of repair young animals, with improved feeding, as well as by selecting and selecting animals according to this indicator. The uterus, born in the number of twins and received from twin mothers, is characterized by higher fertility. With this in mind, the purpose of our research was to study the fertility of queens depending on the type of birth of the parent pairs. The data obtained indicate the genetic conditionality of the transmission of multiplicity of sheep of the Soviet Merino breed and the expediency of using the type of animal birth as a breeding trait. Based on the results of the selection, it can be concluded that, in general, for all the daughters received, without taking into account the origin, the heterogeneous selection of single sheep to twin mothers increases the yield of females born among twins, compared with homogeneous selection by 9.9%.
