AWARENESS AND UTILIZATION OF E-RESOURCES AMONG THE STUDENTS AND FACULTY MEMBERS: A CASE STUDY OF GITAM UNIVERSITY

This study explores the level of awareness and utilization of electronic resources (eresources) among students and faculty members at GITAM University. The findings reveal that faculty members demonstrate high awareness and usage of e-resources for teaching and research purposes, while students show varying degrees of familiarity and engagement, often influenced by their academic discipline and digital literacy. Despite recognizing the academic value of e-resources, both groups face challenges such as limited access to high-quality materials, inadequate training, and technical difficulties. The study recommends that university libraries conduct targeted training programs, improve access to digital resources, and actively promote awareness of available eresources. These efforts can help integrate e-resources more effectively into academic workflows, thereby enhancing teaching, learning, and research outcomes.
