A Large Angle Deflection Leaky Wave Waveguide Antenna Applied to High-power Microwaves
Based on the principles of waveguide slot antenna and phase constant and attenuation constant of traveling waves, this paper designs a C-band large angle deflection leaky wave waveguide array antenna by forming non periodic slots with narrow edge loaded conductor cylinders to generate leaky wave radiation. The maximum radiation direction deviates from the normal direction by 62 °, with a gain of 25.3dBi and a sidelobe level of 16.6dB. This array antenna has the advantages of compact structure and high gain. The simulation results show that at the center frequency of 5GHz, the radiation efficiency of the antenna is always greater than 95%, and the power capacity exceeds 9GW, which can be applied in the field of high-power microwave.
