A survey on emotion detection and analysis using facial recognition
In this research a behavioural analysis scheme that can properly recognize a person's emotional state based on their expressions when using face recognition technologies. This system will provide tailored recommendations for tasks or actions to enhance the user’s mental health by offering individualized tools and interventions to help manage emotions. The project aims to improve mental health outcomes with potential applications in workplaces, schools, and healthcare facilities, ensuring the system is accessible and user-friendly. Advances in facial recognition technology make real-time emotional state detection possible. User testing and feedback will assess the system’s accuracy and dependability, ensuring it provides insightful recommendations for enhancing emotional well-being. Facial recognition technology for emotion detection and analysis has significant potential in industries such as healthcare, marketing, and entertainment, offering improvements in patient care, consumer behaviour insights, and user experiences. Using machine learning algorithms to detect and identify human faces in pictures or videos is a crucial first step in the process known as accurate face detection. The accuracy of emotion recognition is dependent on the quality of face detection, which can be influenced by illumination, occlusion, and facial expressions. The proposed system employs convolutional neural networks to analyse changes in facial expressions and extract essential information from images. A sizable dataset of labelled facial expressions will be used for training to enhance the system’s accuracy and resilience to changes in occlusion, pose, and lighting. Multiple tests across various subjects and situations will assess the system’s performance, and its effectiveness will be compared with other existing approaches.
