Electric Vehicle Battery Management System with Charge Monitoring and Fire Protection
Currently, most automobile manufacturers are focused on producing electric vehicles, including both two-wheelers and four-wheelers. Consequently, batteries play a pivotal role, driving the need for advanced techniques to assess a vehicle's charging capacity. To avoid issues such as overcharging or deep discharge, an efficient battery management system (BMS) is essential. Such systems help mitigate potential damage, extend battery life, and safeguard the connected electronics by providing accurate assessments of the battery's state of charge (SOC). This study introduces a real-time Battery Monitoring System that monitors key parameters and leverages the SOC technique. The proposed system is implemented on a hardware platform using the Arduino environment, suitable sensing technologies, a central processor, and interfacing components.
