Impact of artificial intelligence on the development of employment and the labor market
The comprehensive examination of artificial intelligence (AI) and its influence on employment in India, as presented in this study, points to a complex dual impact: although AI may initially replace jobs in repetitive tasks, its broad implementation greatly increases employment overall by boosting productivity and generating new, higher-skilled job opportunities. This study emphasizes how AI plays a critical role in shifting the demands of work away from regular tasks and toward more creative ones, which in turn helps to create high-quality jobs and spur economic growth. Additionally, AI makes virtual agglomeration possible by digitally integrating businesses and increasing job opportunities across many industries and geographical areas. These results highlight the significance of strategic policy frameworks that promote sustained socio-economic development throughout India by proactively tackling possible job displacement and capitalizing on AI’s beneficial effects.
