AI Powered Trifocals for Sign Language Detection and Speech Recognition

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming modern technology by providing interdisciplinary approaches to meet complex challenges with efficient and futuristic solutions. In this paper, a hybrid system particularly designed to enhance communication in patients with disabilities, i.e., the mute, deaf, and the dynamic impairments. For deaf users, the solution utilizes an Augmented Reality (AR) text-based interface offering real-time speech translation, enhancing comprehension while conversations. For mute users, the system translates sign language into speech, filling the communication gap with whom they are not familiar. Acknowledging that some people can suffer from concurrent disabilities, the integrated strategy enables simple, two-way communication. The revolutionary power of AI is to construct inclusive and accessible environments, ultimately to allow individuals with disabilities to contribute more entirely in daily interactions.
