Development of Voice-Activated Assistance System for the Disabled and Elder Citizens
The voice-operated assistance system is an inexpensive, voice-based solution that facilitates the independence and safety of the elderly and the disabled. By employing an 8051 microcontroller and an HC-05 Bluetooth module, the system makes it easy for different household devices to communicate freely with each other, enabling users to operate necessary functions such as lights and fans through simple voice commands. This combination of embedded hardware, voice recognition technology, and smart phone app gives a simple yet accessible interface which enables users to control tasks themselves without the assistance of physical switches or caregivers. The proposed Voice-Activated Assistance System enhances the quality of life by encouraging the independence, security, and comfort of elderly and disabled people.
