Towards Accessibility: Implementing Word Recognition for Sign Language Detection in Virtual Communication
The importance of sign language cannot be understated as it is used by millions of individuals for communication around the world, yet its use is rarely incorporated in online platforms. This research paper proposes a real-time image processing system to translate Sign Language to text or audio using computer vision and deep learning algorithms along with a user-friendly interface ensuring fast and reliable gesture recognition and language translation. This research also highlights the need for inclusivity in digital communication and lays groundwork for future accessibility technology.
