Next-Generation Underwater Magnetic Induction Systems by Exploiting Self and Mutual Inductance Synergies
This research investigates the optimization of magnetic induction interactions in underwater communication systems, concentrating on self and mutual inductance between conductors. The study uses a combination of theoretical analysis and numerical simulations to investigate the impacts of conductor arrangement on magnetic flux density and current density, two essential parameters determining signal transmission efficiency. The findings show that optimizing conductor spacing and alignment can result in a significant increase in performance, with a 35% increase in magnetic flux density and a 28% increase in current density, hence expanding communication range in underwater situations. The study also takes into account environmental conditions such as water salinity and temperature, both of which can impact the medium's conductivity and, as a result, its inductive qualities. Despite these differences, the study found that strategically chosen conductor configurations can mitigate these environmental affects, resulting in dependable and efficient performance for underwater magnetic induction systems under a variety of situations.
