As nuances socioestruturais da crise da masculinidade caboverdiana em Chiquinho de Baltasar Lopes

This article finds in the classic Chiquinhoby writer Baltasar Lopes an illustration of the different facets of masculinity on the islands of Cape Verde, as well as the social and cultural environmental constraints of their identity crisis. Taking Chiquinho as a manifesto of this phenomenon, we made him a basis for a literary ethnography which assumes the dismantling of the symbiosis between the male individual and Cape Verdean society in contemporary times, which allows us to observe the male identity crisis without assuming it as the crisis of this society.
