SOUTH URAL COMBAT SKIERS IN THE GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR
The article considers aspects of the territorial formation of mobile ski units during the Great Patriotic War 1941-45. The role of these special units in conducting combat operations in harsh winters and diffi cult terrain is assessed. The contribution of the South Ural ski battalion fi ghters to the victory over the fascist invaders is refl ected.
