Democracy and Authoritarianism: A Comparative Analysis
Democracy and authoritarianism are two major political systems prevalent in various countries across the world. In democracy, the power of governance rests with the citizens, while in authoritarianism, governance is controlled by a centralized leadership, typically in the hands of a single person or a group. The purpose of this research paper is to conduct a comparative analysis of these two governance systems to understand their differences and similarities. This study will be based on the principles, structure, functioning, and socio-economic impacts of democracy and authoritarianism.
