The article identifies a number of factor variables affecting employment, such as the situation and stability of the regional market, the level of wages, the dependence of employment on the time of study, the possibility of combining training sessions with a work schedule. The employment of students with disabilities was analyzed by the method of sociological research in the form of a survey; statistical analysis of data from digital channels of vacancies of a number of federal channels and the multifunctional online platform «Faculty» was carried out, which made it possible to systematize data on vacancies for students with disabilities; to establish the employment process and establish relationships between the university and employers. The theoretical basis of the research is the works of P.A. Sorokin, K. Popper, A.F. Losev, G.V. Vernadsky, which present the view of scientists on the role of the dominant civilization in determining the subject–spatial organization of people's lives and human positioning depending on the socio-cultural orientation of specific territories. Awareness of the unpredictability of globalization processes has sharpened the relevance of social protection and its systemic organization, especially within the framework of the territorial space of V.I. Vernadsky's model as a pulsating alternation of alternating geopolitical forms of state organization of territorial space and the ideas of A.L. Chizhevsky, N.M. Moiseev, N.D. Kondratiev on the unification of territorial space by the formation of the noosphere as a reasonable and the only alternative to the development of human society. A statistical analysis of the data provided by the study of employment of persons with disabilities revealed the expectations and motives for finding a suitable vacancy among students with disabilities. The main barriers to employment have been identified. The results obtained during the study describe the state of the labor market for students with disabilities at Bryansk State University named after Academician I.G. Petrovsky. The practical significance of the results of the sociological research is the opportunity to identify existing problems and suggest ways to solve them.
