Strategi Perawatan Komponen Pada Sistem Bahan Bakar TB. Pacific Jaya 2 Dengan Metode Reliability Centered Maintenance
The main engine plays a crucial role on a ship, as the vessel cannot operate if the engine is not functioning, which can lead to significant financial losses for the company. To prevent or minimize the risk of failure, it is essential to maintain the main engine's support systems, particularly the fuel system. ReliabilityCentered Maintenance (RCM) is a method used to select, develop, and implement alternative maintenance strategies based on operational, economic, and safety criteria. Using the RCM method, the optimal maintenance strategy for the main engine fuel system, including cost considerations, can be determined. In the RCM method, functional and functional failure analysis, failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA), and decision tree diagram analysis are conducted to establish the maintenance strategy. The maintenance strategy derived from the RCM method includes various approaches, such as on-condition tasks for components like the fuel oil pump (electric), fuel oil transfer pumps (mechanical), fuel injection pumps, nozzle injectors, gate valves, and quick-closing valves. Scheduled restoration tasks are recommended for the motor fuel oil transfer pump, while scheduled discharge tasks are suggested for ball valves, non-return valves, emergency quick-closing valves, quick-closing valves, and fuel water separators.
