Pharmacological Interventions and Rehabilitation Therapies: A Synergistic Approach to Holistic Recovery
Rehabilitation in past was considered only related to therapies including physical, occupational and speech-language therapies as well as psychological counseling. But, during last few decades pharmacology has emerged as a critical supportive science in promoting and achieving the goals of rehabilitation outcomes. This editorial is written to explore how pharmacological strategies are integrated into modern rehabilitation frameworks to improve patient outcomes by improving symptoms, neuroplasticity and patient participation. It also focuses that how can we reduce gaps between medical and rehabilitative care. In modern era it has been revealed that their combination can produce synergistic effects, leading to more significant improvements in functional recovery, symptom management, and quality of life. It is evident that the combination of pharmacological and exercise interventions is superior over single therapeutic approaches. This integrative strategy is particularly important in the treatment of chronic illnesses, neurological disorders, musculoskeletal conditions, and mental health management.
