Vlastní jména z Knihy Genesis v chorvatskohlaholských breviářích

The text from the book of Genesis is found in the Croatian glagolitic breviaries in two basic textological lines, in the group of breviaries of the so-called northern group from Krk and Istria and the southern group from Zadar and Krbava. In addition to readings from the book of Genesis, the Croatian glagolitic breviaries also contain texts that paraphrase the biblical text. Proper names in the readings of the breviaries of the so-called northern textological group are found in the form known from Old Church Slavonic prophetologium (parimejnik), in the paraphrased texts they are in the form borrowed from Greek. The original language, from which were the proper names translated to the breviaries of the northern textological group (VO, VB3), cannot be precisely determined, while in the breviaries of the southern textological group (VAT, MO), the language rom which were the proper names translated is Latin.
