Мотив прародительского греха и его последствий в гомилетическом творчестве Климента Охридского

The article explores how the motif of original sin is manifested in the homiletic works of Clement of Ohrid. In the theological thought of his time, there were various ways of presenting the causal connection between original sin, the corruption of human nature, and individual sins. By the time of Clement, there were several hamartiological concepts that the author could use in his sermons. These concepts were based on diverse interpretations of biblical verses, especially Rom 5:12 and Ps 50 (51):7, found in the works of influential Christian theologians such as John Chrysostom, Aurelius Augustine, Patriarch Photius, and others. This is evident in the works of theologians such as Ivan Meyendorff (1979) and Ioannis Romanidis (1956). The article identifies indicators that help determine the origins and development of this motif in Clement’s homiletic works.
