Grzegorz Camblak na terenie Wielkiego księstwa Litewskiego i jego spuścizna literacka
Gregory Tsamblak was one of the most outstanding hierarchs and theologians at the turn of the 14th and 15th centuries. Gregory Tsamblak’s literary heritage was very popular with the Orthodox Slavs. The hierarch wrote two lives of the martyr John the New from Suceava and King Stefan Deczansky, two services, a story about the transfer of the relics of St Paraskeva from Tarnovo to Serbia, two words of praise to his teachers: St Patriarch Euthymius and Metropolitan Cyprian, a message to the Tver prince Ivan Mikhailovich, two welcoming speeches to Pope Martin V and the Fathers of the Council of Constance. The literary heritage of Gregory Tsamblak consists of glorious words for church holidays: the Triode, and fasting cycles, and instructions on religious topics, in particular monastic life. At least 25 sermons by Gregory Tsamblak are known, 18 of which are in his letters and writings.
