Historical forms inspired by contemporary Iraqi painting

This research aims to investigate the formal archetypes of ancient Iraqi art that contemporary Iraqi artists have recalled in their modern artworks. This trend has expanded in recent years due to various motivations, establishing a dialogue based on the duality between heritage and modernity. This recall created a methodological approach to explore its historical roots, forms, types, and the motivations behind it.
