Muscle strength and its relationship to the performance of discus throwers at the university of Babylon

The current research addressed the relationship between muscular strength and the performance of the discus throw for fourth-year students (university team). This research aimed to identify the stages of the discus throw, review its contents, and understand the stages. The research included five chapters. The first chapter included an introduction to the research, muscular strength. Continuous scientific and practical progress directed toward greater knowledge of the properties of muscular strength has become an urgent necessity in the face of the great struggle to develop individual abilities and provide physical fitness in track and field. This struggle is intensified by the ever-increasing competition among athletes to achieve record numbers and Olympic medals, with increased global athletic engagement. Hence, the problem of the current research was formed through the following questions: What is the relationship between muscular strength and the performance of the discus throw for University of Babylon players? The first chapter also included the research objective of identifying the impact of errors on the development of some skills for female discus throwers, and its importance. The second chapter included the theoretical framework of the research. The third section contained the research procedures and statistical methods. The fourth section included the research results. The fifth section included the conclusions and recommendations. The research concluded with a list of sources and the title.
