Research on Restoration of Architectural Images in Yongle Palace Murals and Structure of Yuan Dynasty Residences
This study takes the architectural images in the Yongle Palace murals as the re-search object and systematically examines their correspondence with the struc-tural features of Yuan Dynasty residential buildings. The research finds that the architectural images in the murals are highly consistent with the physical re-mains of the Yuan Dynasty in terms of overall layout and spatial sequence, espe-cially in the characteristics of courtyard-style layout and "front hall, rear bed-room" spatial organization. Although the representation of architectural com-ponents is simplified, the key structural features accurately convey the technical characteristics of Yuan Dynasty architecture. The study confirms the significant value of the Yongle Palace murals as research materials for the architectural history of the Yuan Dynasty, while also pointing out the need to be cautious about the influence of artistic processing when using image materials. This achievement not only provides new visual evidence for the study of Yuan Dyn-asty residential buildings but also establishes a reference framework for evalu-ating the historical value of architectural images.
