Manajemen Sumber Daya Manusia Dalam Meningkatkan Kinerja Dosen
ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the implementation of human resource management in improving lecturer performance at STAI Ahmad Sibawayhie Besuki Situbondo, a pesantren-based university that is still relatively new. The main focus of this research is on three important aspects of human resource management, namely recruitment and selection of lecturers, training and development of human resources, and compensation system. This research used a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, involving related parties, such as campus leaders, Nurul Wafa Foundation administrators, and lecturers. The results showed that recruitment and selection of lecturers were carried out professionally through deliberations between campus leaders and the foundation, taking into account academic qualifications, professional experience, and alignment with pesantren values. Lecturer training and development is focused on increasing competence through external cooperation-based programs and further education support. In terms of compensation, despite financial limitations, the campus provides significant non-financial rewards, such as achievement recognition and career development. The implementation of planned and value-based human resource management contributes positively to improving lecturer performance, while supporting STAI Ahmad Sibawayhie's mission as a superior Islamic university.
