ANÁLISE GEOELÉTRICA DE SUBSUPERFÍCIE APLICADA À IDENTIFICAÇÃO DE FRATURAS EM UMA MINERAÇÃO NO ANEL DE QUARTZITO DO COMPLEXO ALCALINO-CARBONATÍTICO DE ARAXÁ (MG)
Electrical resistivity has become a widely recognized geophysical tool for indirect subsurface investigation, particularly in areas characterized by complex tectonic structures. This article aims to analyze the application of two-dimensional electrical resistivity methods in identifying fracture zones within quartzite formations, focusing on the Barreiro Alkaline-Carbonatitic Complex region in Araxá, Brazil. Geoelectrical sections and three-dimensional modeling were interpreted using computational tools. The results revealed conductive zones associated with geological fractures, indicating a strong correlation between low-resistivity anomalies and structural directions previously mapped in the field. The integrated analysis of geophysical and structural data provided a more accurate interpretation of subsurface compartmentalization, with significant implications for hydrogeological, geotechnical, and environmental studies. It is concluded that the resistivity method, combined with structural analysis, is an effective approach for subsurface geological characterization in geologically complex rock environments.
