Silicon(<scp>iv</scp>) tetraazachlorin – an unusual cycloaddition product from 3,4-diphenyl-1<i>H</i>-pyrrole-2,5-diimine
Template cyclotetramerization of crude 3,4-diphenyl-1<i>H</i>-pyrrole-2,5-diimine with SiCl4 leads to, along with the expected Si(IV) octaphenylporphyrazine, an unusual side-product - a silicon(IV) tetraazachlorin containing a fused pyrrolo[1,2-<i>a</i>]imidazolone moiety.
