Sociodemographic Factors and Their Impact on Well‑being and Organizational Commitment of Municipal Employees

Workplace well-being is a general feeling of satisfaction and fulfillment in the work environment, which transcends the simple absence of health problems. In this study, the level of well-being and organizational commitment in local government employees was analyzed, considering the influence of various sociodemographic variables. A total of 580 employees from two municipalities in the Arequipa Region of Peru participated, selected through purposive sampling. A validated and reliable scale was used for data collection. The results showed that 64.1% of the participants had a moderate level of well-being, while 29% were at a minimum level. These findings highlight the relevance of considering sociodemographic factors when designing strategies aimed at improving work experience in the municipal environment.
