PENGARUH PEMANFAATAN SOFTWARE BALABOLKA TERHADAP MOTIVASI BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK FASE D KELAS VII SMP NEGERI 1 PANDAWAI
The aim of this study is to describe the influence of using Balabolka software towards learning motivation of Phase D students at SMP Negeri 1 Pandawai. This study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental research design. The population of this study consisted of 25 students. The sampling technique used was the census method, as all members of the population were included in the sample. This approach is used when the population is less than 25 individuals. Thus, Class A served as the control group, consisting of 13 students, while Class B served as the experimental group, consisting of 12 students. The instrument used in this study was a closed-ended questionnaire. Before distributing the questionnaire, the researcher conducted validity and reliability tests to ensure the accuracy of the instrument. The results of the validity test indicated that all 20 items were valid and reliable. The data were analyzed using an independent t-test. Prior to conducting the t-test, prerequisite tests—namely, normality and homogeneity tests—were performed. The results showed that the data were normally distributed and homogeneous. Specifically, the normality test results indicated that the significance values for both the pretest and posttest questionnaires were greater than 0.05, with the pretest sig. value being 0.487 > 0.05, and the posttest sig. value being 0.804 > 0.05. The homogeneity test, conducted at a significance level of α = 0.05, showed that the variances in both classes were equal (homogeneous), with a significance value of 0.405 > 0.05 for both the pretest and posttest scores. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of Balabolka software has a significant influence towards learning motivation of Phase D Grade VII students at SMP Negeri 1 Pandawai.
