Photochemical activity of the thiosemicarbazone Dp44mT and its complexes with copper(<scp>ii</scp>) and zinc(<scp>ii</scp>) ions

Thiosemicarbazone Dp44mT and its chelate complex with Cu 2+ show photocytotoxicity. Dp44mT complexation with Zn 2+ photostabilizes the ligand and decreases its phototoxicity.
