Risk factors for hypertrophic scar development in chest procedures
This retrospective cohort study of chest procedures was performed at a single centre by a single surgeon. It aims to identify factors associated with post-surgical hypertrophic scar (HTS) development. We identified risk factors, including Mohs micrographic surgery, female sex, scars oriented against skin tension lines and running subcuticular sutures, associated with HTS after chest procedures.
