MODERN FOREIGN LANGUAGE EDUCATION IN PRIMARY SCHOOL: PRINCIPLES OF FORMATION OF UNIVERSAL COGNITIVE LEARNING ACTIVITIES

The article discusses modern approaches to the formation of universal cognitive educational activities of primary school students in the process of foreign language education in the context of digitalisation and updated Federal State Educational Standards of Primary General Education. The purpose of the study is to develop and substantiate a system of principles for the formation of universal cognitive educational activities in foreign language education of primary school, taking into account modern methodological approaches. The author’s model of integrating universal cognitive educational activities into the structure of modern educational and methodological complexes in a foreign language for grades 2-4 is presented. Specific features of the formation of logical operations, work with information and research skills by means of a foreign language are revealed.
