PENGARUH PROBLEM BASED LEARNING BERBANTUAN MODUL TERHADAP HOTS SISWA PADA MATA PELAJARAN APLIKASI PENGOLAH ANGKA DI SMK SURAKARTA

ABSTRACT The study aimed to obtain empirical evidence regarding the differences in higher order thinking skills among students taught using the problem-based learning (PBL) model assisted by modules. This quantitative quasi-experimental research employed a posttest control group design with purposive sampling of two classes. The experimental class received treatment in the form of PBL with module assistance, while the control class received PBL without module assistance. HOTS assessment was conducted through posttests to compare the experimental and control classes. Data analysis involved preconditional testing and hypothesis testing using t-tests. The findings revealed: 1) Significant differences in HOTS between the experimental class (PBL with module assistance) and the control class (PBL) with a sig. value of 0.000<0.05; 2) Differences in HOTS within the experimental class before and after treatment, demonstrated by a sig. value of 0.000<0.05. This research has an impact on practitioners in the field of education in designing learning of spreadsheet. The conclusion of this research was, there was a difference between the HOTS of the experimental group and the control after the treatment is given.
