Studies on Estimation of Total Phosphate and Chlorophyll Content in Healthy and Infected Plant Parts of Vicia Faba
Phosphate and chlorophyll are playing key role in growth and development in plant. Results of present study revealed the effect of fungal infection on the uptake rates of total P and its distribution in infected plant parts clearly decline the nutritional aspects and role of macronutrients and chlorophyll pigment in growth and development.Present study revealed that total P uptake and distribution decline in infected plant parts of Vicia faba as compared to healthy plant parts as in stem, leaf and anther and pollen grains due to fungal infection. Our observation also indicates that the development of chlorophyll-a and chlorophyll-b are affected by fungal infection in infected plant leaf disc. Thus, a comparison of chl-a and chl -b development indicates that in general chl-a development is more as compared chl-b in both healthy and infected leaf disc of Vicia faba.
