Seismic behaviour of reinforced concrete shear walls with coal gasification ash
To promote the recycling of solid waste coal gasification ash (CGA) and sustainable development, the use of CGA as a partial replacement of cement in concrete (termed CGAC) was investigated. In the CGAC, 20% of cement was replaced with CGA and the seismic performance of CGAC shear wall structures was studied. Four CGAC shear walls were designed, and low-cycle reciprocating tests, finite-element numerical simulations and theoretical analyses were conducted. The test results showed that the incorporation of CGA significantly improved the load-bearing capacity, ductility coefficient, stiffness degradation and energy dissipation coefficient of the shear walls. A damage plastic constitutive model was established on the basis of the stress–strain curve and mechanical properties of CGAC, significantly enhancing the numerical simulation results of concrete shear walls. Finally, a bearing capacity correction calculation method was established on the basis of the experimental and simulated results of the CGAC shear walls. This study is beneficial for establishing a basis for high-value resource utilisation of CGA waste.
