EXPLORING THE IMPACT OF THE ENTREPRENEURSHIP DIPLOMA PROGRAM ON THE LEARNING SATISFACTION OF YOUNG PRISONER STUDENTS IN KLUANG PRISON, JOHOR

This study aims to evaluate the influence of the Pelita Suluh Budiman Diploma in Entrepreneurship Program on the educational satisfaction of young inmate students at Kluang Prison, Johor. This study examines how autonomy, competence, and social interactions, as outlined in the Self-Determination Theory, affect students' learning satisfaction in the program. The research used a qualitative methodology, conducting semi-structured interviews with five student participants. The findings indicate that students who show autonomy over their learning techniques, maintain positive social ties with instructors and peers, and can efficiently complete assignments report greater levels of learning satisfaction. However, obstacles such as restricted access to reference materials, technical resources, and psychological stress adversely affect their educational experience. The study highlights the necessity of enhancing educational facilities, offering emotional support, and offering appropriate reference resources to augment the program's efficacy in the future. Additional research is advised to investigate other psychological and social elements that may affect learning satisfaction among juvenile offenders.
