Comprehensive Identification of Land Use Conflicts and Performance of Control Policies—A Case Study of Yangtze River Delta Urban Agglomeration
ABSTRACT Yangtze River Delta (YRD) is a typical region with strong comprehensive strength. However, land competition still exists, and there is a lack of evaluation of the effectiveness of current control policies. Therefore, it is crucial to identify land use conflicts (LUCs) and conduct the policy performance assessment. Based on land use suitability evaluation, this study constructed a model to examine the intensity of potential LUCs. A quantitative analysis was conducted on the control policy performance. The results showed that there were obvious spatial mismatches in land use suitability in the YRD, and the intensity of potential LUCs was high in the north. The implementation of composite policies reduced the scale of LUCs and made the conflict landscape present homogenization characteristics. The study aimed to identify the LUCs pattern and measure the performance of land control policies, based on which spatial zoning was delineated to provide feasible ideas for mitigating LUCs.
