Digital Transformation and Green Innovation of Manufacturing Enterprises

数字化与绿色化协同发展是实现“双碳”目标的重要手段。本文基于2011~2022年中国A股制造业上市企业数据，探讨了数字化转型对企业绿色创新的影响及机制。研究结果显示，数字化转型能够显著促进制造企业的绿色创新，对实质性创新的影响尤为显著。这些结论通过了严格的内生性和稳健性检验。机制分析表明，数字化转型通过提升环境管理披露和促进产学研合作来推动绿色创新。异质性分析表明，数字化转型对非重污染制造业企业、EGS责任履行程度高的企业以及位于数字金融程度较高地区的企业绿色创新的影响更为显著。本研究拓展了关于数字化转型对微观企业绿色创新影响的理论，为“双碳”目标下推动中国企业的低碳转型提供了理论支持及政策建议。The coordinated development of digitalization and greenization is an important means to achieve the “dual carbon” goals. Based on the data of Chinese A-share listed enterprises from 2011 to 2022, this paper empirically analyzes the impact and mechanism of digital transformation on green innovation. The research results show that digital transformation can significantly promote the green innovation of enterprises, and its impact on substantive innovation is particularly significant. These conclusions passed strict endogeneity and robustness tests. Mechanism analysis indicates that digital transformation promotes green innovation by enhancing the quality of internal control and facilitating the disclosure of green management. Heterogeneity analysis indicates that digital transformation has a more significant impact on green innovation in non-heavily polluting manufacturing enterprises, enterprises with a high degree of EGS responsibility fulfillment, and enterprises located in regions with a higher degree of digital finance. This study expands the theoretical understanding of the impact of digital transformation on the green innovation of micro enterprises, providing theoretical support and policy recommendations for promoting the low-carbon transformation of Chinese enterprises under the “dual carbon” goals.
