Vibration Propagation From Urban Rail Transport
With the passing of trains in the subway and trams, vibrations and noise normally occur both during the normal movement of the vehicles on the tracks and the acceleration and stopping of vehicles in the area of stops. They are amplified in case of passing above the ground of the metro line, movement of the trams in a curve as well as a track on a facility. Vibrations propagate better in dense materials, and are attenuated in elastic materials, loose soils and discontinuous air spaces. With non-welded, unevenly worn rails, vibrations are amplified. The normal motion of the colossi is a sine wave, which also generates vibrations. They are amplified in the case of track gauge not maintained within the technical tolerances, one-sided and two-sided failures of the rails, etc. The research project aims to establish the relationship between road construction, travel speed, rail roughness and vibration by constructing a theoretical model and subsequent studies of characteristic states.
