Dynamic research of social adaptation and vegetative stability of high school students of the metropolis

The implementation of the new educational standard has led to an increase in the involvement of high school students in scientific and applied activities, there has been an acceleration of career guidance and a change in the social adaptability (SA) and vegetative stability (VS) of adolescents. A study of (SA) and (VS) of high school students involved 357 students aged 15–17 (102 boys and 255 girls) in 2018 and 211 high school students (61 boys and 150 girls) in 2023. A decrease in the number of boys and girls with high social adaptation was established by 12,6 % and 10,5 %, respectively, and an increase in the number of high schoolchildren with vegetative lability by 8,3 % among boys and 2,3 % among girls. The normal level of SA and VS have not changed: every second high schoolchild had average SA and VS. Statistically significant differences in the levels of SA and VA were established: the number of adolescents with high social adaptation and high vegetative stability decreased by 2.4 times — from 17.1 % in 2018 to 7.3 % in 2023. The number of socially maladaptive adolescents with high vegetative lability increased from 4,2 % in 2018 to 5,8 % in 2023. Early diagnosis of maladjustment, development of programs to correct maladaptive states and autonomic dysfunction, observation by a psychologist and neurologist help adolescents maintain psychosomatic health. It is necessary to actively involve schoolchildren in self-health by optimizing their daily routine, developing self-control when using gadgets and increasing physical activity.
