A Practical Framework for Weight Map Construction in CCD Photometry

Abstract This note presents a practical formulation for constructing weight maps in CCD photometry, accounting for various noise contributions under the assumption of statistical independence. We provide complete equations for both electron-count and analog-to-digital unit-based imaging data, along with simplified expressions for different observational conditions.
