Sidelobe suppression method for phase encoded signals
The two-phase encoded signal in phase encoding has a fuzzy map similar to a pushpin shape, while the multi-phase encoded signal has strong Doppler tolerance. With the development of digital signal processing technology, phase encoded signals are increasingly applied to pulse compression technology. However, the distance sidelobes generated by autocorrelation processing can cause issues such as missed alarms and false alarms. Therefore, in order to better apply phase encoded signals to pulse compression systems, sidelobe suppression is necessary. Based on the different application scenarios of two-phase encoding signals and multi-phase encoding signals, a sidelobe suppression method for two-phase encoding and multi-phase encoding was deeply studied. A sidelobe suppression method based on variable step size adaptive criterion was proposed, and the method was verified to achieve good sidelobe suppression performance through simulation analysis.
