Design of AI traffic police robot based on laser SLAM
With the rapid development of technology, AI robots are gradually integrating into the field of intelligent transportation, bringing unprecedented changes and opportunities to this traditional industry. This paper designs an AI traffic police robot based on laser SLAM. The robot emits laser beams through a lidar and receives reflected signals, which can accurately scan the key nodes at intersections such as crossroads and T-junctions on the road. Through the gmapping mapping algorithm, it collects and processes radar data in real-time as the robot moves. Using a probability-based grid map modeling method, it divides the environment into several grid cells and constructs a map by continuously updating the state of each grid. The AI robot can perform path planning, track illegal vehicles, achieve automatic obstacle avoidance, and cruise functions in the constructed map environment.
