A friction electric signal measurement oscilloscope based on FPGA+ARM

With the extensive application of Triboelectric Nanogenerator (TENG) technology in energy harvesting, sensing, and human-computer interaction, the demand for measuring and analyzing TENG signals is increasing. However, traditional oscilloscopes are limited by their performance metrics and functionality, making it difficult to meet the measurement requirements of TENG signals characterized by low frequency, weak amplitude, high impedance, and nonlinearity. To address this issue, this paper presents a dedicated digital oscilloscope based on the FPGA+ARM architecture, specifically designed for the measurement and analysis of TENG signals. The oscilloscope supports single-channel input with a sampling rate up to 1 GSPS and covers a frequency range from 0 Hz to 60 MHz, accommodating the diverse frequency characteristics of TENG signals. It features a wide input peak-to-peak voltage range, spanning from 1 mV to 1 kV, enabling measurements of TENG signals with varying intensities. In terms of measurement accuracy, the oscilloscope excels, with frequency, pulse width, and amplitude measurement accuracies all reaching ±0.5%, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of measurement results. Additionally, the oscilloscope is equipped with a touchscreen, providing a user-friendly human-computer interaction interface. To validate the effectiveness of the oscilloscope, we designed high-voltage TENG devices for energy harvesting and TENG devices for pressure sensing, and measured their output signals. Our oscilloscope demonstrated excellent measurement results, which are expected to accelerate the development and application of TENG technology.
