A sub-1ppm/℃ current-mode CMOS bandgap reference with wide input and high PSRR

A novel high-order curvature-compensated bandgap voltage reference (BGR) is proposed with the 0.18um BCD process, by adding low-temperature and high-temperature piecewise compensation current to the conventional curvature-compensated BGR, which realizes a reference voltage with a lower temperature coefficient. At the same time, a pre-regulator circuit is added before the BGR to adapt to the power supply voltage of 8V~36V. Simulation results show that a stable 5V voltage is obtained to supply power to the BGR after the pre-voltage regulator. Meanwhile, the temperature coefficient of the proposed BGR is only 0.39ppm/°C in the range of -40°C~165°C. The high-order curvature-compensated BGR achieves the power supply rejection ratio (PSRR) of 143dB, 140dB, 117dB, 82dB and 38dB at 10Hz, 1kHz, 10kHz, 100kHz and 1MHz respectively.
