Research on the technology of high-power copper corrugated tube RF cable assembly based on plug-in installation
A radio frequency (RF) cable with connectors welded on both ends forms an RF cable assembly, which is the medium for RF signal transmission within a satellite payload system. The RF cable assembly plays a crucial role in the performance of the payload subsystem and even the entire satellite. The SFC-50-11-52 semi-rigid copper corrugated RF cable assembly has advantages such as high transmission power, low insertion loss, and high phase consistency. However, the outer conductor is easily damaged by force, the male and female connectors interfere positions in the insertion path. The semi-rigid cable rebound deformation causes the male and female connectors to misalign. In this paper, the physical and installation characteristics of the cable assembly are analyzed and studied for the problems of connectors interference and misalign. Finally, the difficulty is overcome by the two measures of disassembly assembly and adaptive deformation design.
