AI-driven value-added OBE: the evolution of teaching models in the AI era
The rapid ascent of artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming education, necessitating a shift from conventional teaching models to value-centric frameworks. This study introduces the "AI-Driven Value-Added OBE" model, blending AI technologies with Outcome-Based Education (OBE) to overcome traditional limitations and foster personalized learning, interdisciplinary competence, and soft skills such as critical thinking, creativity, and empathy. Anchored in a "Technology Enablement-Education Value-Added" double-helix framework, the model integrates a multidimensional theoretical structure, a mathematically grounded quantification system, and a four-layer architecture. Through philosophical, metacognitive, and educational value perspectives, this paper details the model’s design and forecasts its potential to reshape global higher education. Offering both theoretical insights and practical pathways for educators, policymakers, and institutions, it addresses the profound question of redefining human value in the AI era, equipping students to navigate future complexities.
