Nonlinear Dynamic Analysis of Decentralized Power Systems With Integrated Renewable Energy Sources for Sustainable Electrification of Badaghara Village in Balangir District-Odisha
Recently, significant literature was published about nonlinear dynamic analysis of decentralized power systems integrated with renewable energy sources particularly in the context of sustainable electrification for Badaghara Village at Balangir district in Odisha. The study also suggests solar PV power, a major renewable source in this part of the world would be suitable to support energy requirement in the village. Fundamental analysis includes solar PV power forecasting based on 10-year past meteorological data which helps to accurately forecast the potential generation of power. A sophisticated energy balance management system has been developed here that helps in maintaining an optimal supplydemand balance which enables continuous and uninterrupted electricity provision to the off-grid habitants of the village. The impact of time-varying solar power availability on the stability and performance of the system is investigated by modeling and analysis of nonlinear dynamics of the microgrid. This method analyzes the potential for a standalone microgrid system, for providing rural electrification in Badaghara Village through utilization of indigenous renewable sources. These results suggest that the development of robust energy management coupled with solar PVs has a potent effect in improving system resilience and reducing reliance on conventional power generation, and is likely to facilitate scalable sustainable energy solutions across similar rural landscapes.
