Electrochemical Study of Supercapacitor Based on $\text{SnS}_{2} / \text{rGO}$ Nanocomposite: An Experimental Study
Supercapacitors are highly useful in energy storage industries due to their high specific capacitance, prolonged cycle life, and quick charging capabilities. To attain high capacity, improving the electrode materials is an essential strategy. In comparison to noble metal oxides, Tin sulfide <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\left(\text{SnS}_{2}\right)$</tex> has a larger theoretical capacitance, excellent chemical stability, and superior electrical conductivity. Therefore, a nanocomposite of multiple-cavity <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\text{SnS}_{2}$</tex> nanowires wrapped in lamellar layers of reduced graphene oxide doped with <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\mathrm{N}$</tex> (<tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\text{SnS}_{2} / \text{rGO}$</tex>) has been developed experimentally using an easy freeze-casting and subsequent nitridation approach in the present study. Excellent supercapacitor performance was displayed by the hierarchical <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\text{SnS}_{2} / \text{rGO}$</tex> composite, which produced higher capacitances of <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$792 ~\mathrm{F} / \mathrm{g}$</tex> at current density of 3 A g-1. The unique structural design is responsible for the enhanced electrochemical performance.
